One aspect of the baseball season that was a concern for many area baseball coaches was the depth of the pitching they’d have with a short preseason. PCM seemingly had no depth problems, with 10 players seeing action on the mound this season.

Junior Beau Webb saw the most action, with 24 ⅔ innings of work on the mound. He went 2-2 in five starts with an ERA of 4.54. He gave up a team-high 31 hits, but only walked four batters.

Sophomore Durant Van Dyke pitched 20 ⅔ innings, and was 1-1 in his two starts. He had a somewhat high ERA of 5.76, but was second on the team in strikeouts with 22.

Iowa Western commit Derek Brown tossed 19 ⅓ innings, and led the team with 26 strikeouts. His ERA finished at 4.71, and he gave up the fewest hits of anyone with more than 10 innings pitched, with just 15 on the season.

PCM finished 7-9 overall and 7-7 in the Heart of Iowa Conference.
