Mickayla McGill of the Knoxville FFA Chapter has been elected as the State FFA President. McGill is the first ever Knoxville FFA member to hold the top office in the state. She says that she is honored to have the opportunity to represent the state of Iowa, and will have a great number of responsibilities over the course of the upcoming academic year. Her duties will range from leading chapter officer training sessions to coordinating large events, such as the State FFA Convention.

McGill is the second straight Iowa FFA president from Marion County. Chandler Jahner of Pella served as president in the 2019-2020 school year. McGill is currently a student at Des Moines Area Community College, studying Ag Communications and Criminology.
