The Pella Area Community and Economic Alliance thanks the community for their support of Thursdays in Pella this summer. PACE Alliance Executive Director Karen Eischen says she’s especially thankful to their staff, volunteers, and sponsors, for putting on events every Thursday in July despite the cancellation of the events in June and the nature of holding social gatherings during a pandemic. Eischen says there was higher than expected attendance most nights, and most organizations and businesses hosting stands, activities, and food booths were cooperative with distancing guidelines issued as part of the special event permit approved by the Pella City Council.
