The Knoxville Fire Department, Knoxville Police Department and Marion County Emergency Management responded to a shed fire in the 300 block of 3rd Street Place in Knoxville Tuesday morning. Knoxville Fire Chief Cal Wyman says that while the shed was a total loss, the department was able to save an adjacent garage.

“The original shed that started, it was fully engulfed by the time we got here. It caused damage to the neighbor’s shed and the neighbor’s garage. So we kind of had three structures going at one time, but we were able to minimize the damage to the neighbor’s two structures. But the original shed that started on fire was a total loss.”

Crews were on the scene for approximately two hours. Damage is estimated at $13,000. A cause has not yet been determined.
