The Knoxville City Council met in regular session Monday. The council held a public hearing on vacating a portion of Attica Road right of way.

The council approved the first consideration to adopt an ordinance vacating a portion of Attica road, and approved a resolution proposing disposal of an interest in real property by sale.

The council approved and waived second and third considerations on adding a new offense called ‘Sniffing Glue Or Other Chemical Substances.’ They approved amending provisions pertaining to the building code, approved amending provisions pertaining to the plumbing and mechanical code, and approved amending provisions pertaining to the electrical code. The council also approved a change order for the Roche Street culvert project.

The next Knoxville City Council meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 17th.
