Indianola was one of 12 communities awarded with tax credits by the Iowa Finance Authority Board of Directors for housing projects. The tax credits were awarded to Woda Cooper Development Inc and the Housing Services Alliance in Indianola for the new construction of Williams Terrace, a senior 55+ facility. The tax credits are able to be sold to investors to generate equity for the housing developments, and will go towards the construction of 470 rental homes for families and seniors across the state.
