The Marion County Road Department will soon begin a county-wide project. Pavement markings will be repainted on all county highways throughout Marion County. County Engineer Tyler Christian says there are a few things to watch out for when this project is taking place.
“We do have a pavement marking contract that’ll be coming up here in a couple weeks. So that’s painting the pavement markings throughout all of our paved roads in the county. So that’s a moving lane closure. Couple things to look out for there. Wet paint, obviously. But also the workers and the construction vehicles themselves. They will be completely taking up one lane. It’s a fairly long train of equipment, so if you’re passing them, take caution, as it is a moving lane closure.”
The pavement marking project takes place on a yearly basis.
