The Pleasantville School District has announced preliminary changes to fan seating in regards to COVID-19. As of now, no face coverings are required. Activities Director Joel Allman highlights the changes, particularly how volleyball games will look inside the gym.

“The only thing that’s really set in stone is no fans will be in the first two rows of the bleachers. That way we can kind of keep them away from our benches a little bit. What we’re going to do is end up pulling out both sets of bleachers. That will allow our home and away fans to sit on opposite sides, we don’t have to worry about as much cross-contamination with that. And then our [football] bleachers are big enough that at this point in time, we should be able to do a pretty good job of having people distance in our bleachers without taking too many extra precautions.”

As with all policies, these are subject to change. The first home varsity event is August 25th, a volleyball game against Earlham.
