With the fall sports season set to begin shortly, the Indianola activities office is working with other area schools and especially opponents in the Little Hawkeye Conference regarding safety procedures. Activities Director Lee Nelson tells KNIA News the more standardized the regulations, the easier they will be to follow for fans and parents.
“From a conference standpoint, we may not meet every day but we probably talk through text or email every day. Everybody is probably going to do things just a little bit different, but for a lot of sports it will be just a conference schedule, so how much can we mirror procedures so people know what is going on when they are going places.”
Nelson also said there will be an obvious difference between hosting an indoor event such as volleyball compared to cross country or football, but the district will work to do its best to provide the same relative guidelines.
