The Knoxville Fire Department is holding its annual pancake breakfast tomorrow. Due to COVID-19, it will be a drive-through event. Pancakes, eggs and sausage will be served. Lieutenant Matt Boston with the department encourages people to come out and support the city’s first responders, and explains how this year’s event will work differently than the past.

“It’s a good way to come out and support the local fire department. I know everyone has been cooped up for a while with everything that’s been going on. We’re still trying to raise money. Things will be a little different this time around. Instead of coming and sitting in the bays, we won’t be having any tables in there, we’ll be having a drive through. We’ll have cars line up in the city parking lot alley, and we will be serving from there.”

The event will run from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Knoxville Fire Station. The department asks people to follow the signs for the drive through.
