The Simpson College football team will be making the best of the recent announcement that their season will be postponed to the spring, along with the other sports of men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball. Head coach Matt Jeter tells KNIA News the move wasn’t unexpected, but that doesn’t make it any less of a blow.

“We’re disappointed, we don’t get to coach our kids, and I don’t get to work with these great coaches and great men. I will always be disappointed with that, but if you were paying attention to the greater scope with what was going on with major college football, I wasn’t blindsided by the decision. I had a call with the President (Kelliher) Tuesday morning, and she let me know the decision of the President’s Council, and she let me know how to go about our next moves on how to handle our teams, fall camp, and school starting on the 24th.”
