Pella High School has delayed the final showings of the annual musical at the school. The Addams Family will audition on August 31st and September 1st, but the performances won’t take place until March 25-27th. Pella High School Speech and Drama Director Suzi Jones says the district is hopeful crowd restrictions will be lifted by the spring, which would allow the show to take place in a more normal setting. In the meantime, rehearsals will be more spread out, and Jones is hoping to do some rehearsals outside this fall while the weather is pleasant.
Another reason that Jones says auditions will happen now and have performances in the spring is to allow for any potential missed time due to COVID-19 related school closures or any possible quarantine situations for cast members/staff.
