At Tuesday’s Pleasantville school board meeting, the district’s Return to Learn Plan was finalized and approved. Superintendent Tony Aylsworth presented the plan, which included a tour of the facilities to describe how accommodations will be made.

A face to face model with a phased in two week hybrid approach to start the year was approved, with masks being optional during limited student contact days.

In other business, the board approved the hiring of Jason Anthony as Assistant Cross Country Coach, approved open enrollment requests, and approved handbooks for employees and substitute teachers. The board approved a bid for WiFi hotspots, approved an Activities Hall of Fame and tabled a discussion on a stadium facilities project.

The next Pleasantville School Board meeting will be Tuesday, September 8th at 5:00 p.m. at the high school library.
