The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce has announced a new public health campaign encouraging all Knoxville residents to wear masks to prevent the spread of Covid-19. #MaskUpKnoxville is a combined effort of Knoxville Hospital & Clinics, Knoxville Chamber of Commerce, Knoxville Community School District and the City of Knoxville.
Beginning this week, these agencies will be sharing photos and stories on social media to explain why the use of masks is important to them. Chamber Director Hannah Vander Veer tells KNIA/KRLS News that the biggest asset to any community is the people, and thanks Knoxville residents for “masking up” and helping each other.
The #MaskUpKnoxville campaign is part of the larger #StepUpMaskUpIA campaign, encouraging Iowans to follow mitigation strategies.
