When the Indianola High School fall sports season begins at the end of August, the safety policies put in place will be an effort put together by more than one school. Activities Director Lee Nelson tells KNIA Sports he is talking to his peers about what worked well during the summer season.
“We are going to really think about and draw on what others are doing too. I don’t think we are trying to create our very own, just Indianola set of guidelines. There are a lot of people we can talk to and get guidance from, and hopefully we can create a plan that’s best for everybody. What that looks like for spectators, not exactly sure yet. But we are trying to get thoughts from as many people so we can make an educated decision.”
Nelson also said the experience from the summer sports season will be invaluable for him and his staff.
