The Twin Cedars Girls Cross Country Squad was led by Rylee Dunkin and her seventh place and all-state performance at the state meet last fall. Dunkin has already stated that she has a goal of getting back to Fort Dodge and competing this season. Coach Trent Verwers tells KRLS Sports Dunkin will have a tougher time this season because everyone will now know about her.

Verwers:
“It’s not going to be easy to have the season she had last year, she’s going to have to put the work in, she’s gained a lot more muscle, and she’s willing to take the challenge and run with it.”

Verwers says along with wanting to get the team to the state meet this season, Dunkin is aiming for not just an all-state performance, but a state championship. Verwers adds Dunkin is in much better physical condition at this time than last season.
