With just two days until the start of school in Knoxville, the #MaskUpKnoxville campaign is in full swing. Knoxville Hospital and Clinics has helped to get the campaign in motion, and encourages safe practices in all aspects of life. Chief Nursing Officer Jan Myers reminds everyone to especially keep health and safety in mind as school returns.

“I would encourage everyone to wear a mask if they’re going to be within six feet of another person. Handwashing is the number one way to prevent all infections, not just the spread of the coronavirus. So washing your hands before you leave the house, when you get back to your house, before meals, after using the restroom, as much as you can wash your hands or use hand sanitizer, that will help the spread of infection. If you don’t feel well, you need to stay home. Please don’t try to go out, go to work, go to school, if you’re not feeling well. And do whatever you can to stay healthy. Sleep well, eat well, and enjoy life.”
