The PCM girls cross country team is gearing up for the 2020 season with high goals in mind. Paige Steenhoek returns for her sophomore season as the lead runner after a trip to Fort Dodge for the state meet last fall. Head Coach Eric Karr says that it’s a deep group this season, and he believes that the team can do great things this fall.
“This girls team will be one that, I typically don’t have to sit and think come state qualifying who are my top seven. It’s usually pretty obvious and I can look at the times. But I really think my 5-9 runners this year could really be competing back and forth, and that’s not a bad thing, to have kids competing with each other, as long as we can keep it healthy on the team.”
The Mustangs get the season underway September 1st at Williamsburg.
