There are many new challenges to overcome during the 2020-21 school year, but the Pleasantville Community School District is up to the task.
Many regulations have been put in place or are still being discussed to help keep everyone in Trojan country safe as sports make their Fall debut.
Activities Director Joel Allman believes that it is a blessing to have made it this far and that if everyone follows the proper safety protocols, it can lead to a seamless transition into the Winter season.
“I would just say that we’re really excited to obviously be able to play or do fall activities. We need to hopefully do the proper procedures and people taking responsibility of just trying to mitigate them getting the coronavirus. I hope that we can just continue on from Fall sports and Fall activities to Winter activities without any hiccups.”
Among the protocols are regular screenings of school faculty and staff, limitations on travel such as bus seating and spectator guidelines at events that are still being finalized.
Pleasantville kicks off their football season at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont on Friday, August 28th. Hear select football games from the Trojans this fall on the KNIA3 stream at KNIAKRLS.com.
