The Knoxville Football Squad brings back a lot of experience in the skill positions for the 2020 season. The Panthers are coming off a 6-3 season in 2019, their best record since 2005. Back this year is quarterback Kieren Nichols, who is questionable for week one due to a wrist injury ,and wide receiver Mike Hudson. Also ready to take over at running back is Kyle Davis along with Keegan Cox who will also likely be a receiver as well. Coach Eric Kellar tells KRLS Sports while the Panthers are not particularly deep at any position he is excited to see what the experience will bring this season.

Kellar:
“We’re not deep at those positions at all, but those guys bring back a lot of experience and we’re excited to see what those guys can do. We keep them healthy, we’ll see some exciting things like we did last year.”

The Panthers will rely on Nichols’ 1209 total yards from last season to move the ball. Hudson was the leading receiver catching 23 passes for 273 and three touchdowns. Knoxville will open the season at Fairfield on August 28th.
