indianola-3

The Indianola football team will see its first simulated game action today, inviting county-rival Carlisle in for a scrimmage. The Indians are coming off of their second straight playoff appearance, one of only 12 teams in class 4A to make back to back appearances in the state. Head coach Eric Kluver tells KNIA Sports a lot of seniors graduated from the offensive side of the ball, so the more experience they can get the better.
“You’ll see a very similar style of offense this year. We are who we are, we would rather run the football, control the clock, and wear teams out if we can. We feel comfortable throwing the football as well, we need a few more practices. A lot of new guys, so every practice we get we continue to improve. This Carlisle scrimmage will be very critical for us coming together as an offense.”
Action starts tonight at the Indianola stadium at 7:30pm.
