The 2020 season unofficially gets underway tonight for the PCM football team, as Pleasantville makes the visit to Monroe for a scrimmage. PCM is coming off an 8-3 campaign in 2019 in which the team bowed out in the quarterfinal round of the playoffs.
Tonight’s scrimmage should help solidify some position battles. The quarterback position will be one to watch this year for PCM, as senior Sage Burns and sophomore Auggie Stock will battle for the starting job. Burns and junior Aiden Anderson will likely split carries at running back this fall, and fans will see how that position battle may play out. Many familiar faces will be seen on the field, with a multitude of returners on both sides of the ball.
Tonight’s scrimmage begins with freshmen at 6:00, with varsity to follow at 7:00 in Monroe. Fans are asked to bring Gatorade or a similar sports drink as admission.
