The school year is underway at Knoxville, and School Nurse Angie Mitchell says that the goal is to keep students in school, but that students must stay home if they are showing any symptoms of illness.
Parents are reminded not to send their child to school if a COVID-19 test is pending, and to follow instructions from health care providers. Mitchell notes that the district anticipates sending more students home this school year due to cautionary measures, and requests that families have a plan in place for their child to be picked up in a timely manner.
