In the new defensive scheme for the Twin Cedars Football Squad the idea is for the five down linemen to clog up the running holes for the opposing team and let the linebackers roam free to make tackles and use the defensive backs to cover a zone. Coach Cam Parker is confident he has the personnel to get the job done.

Parker:
“Their job is in my defensive scheme, in a perfect world the line will take up the blocks, the linebacker scrapes free, and gets the tackle. So it starts with Dallas Clark to see what he can do defensively. Kade Dunkin looking at playing a safety role, he’s one of our best coverage guys, get the best of both worlds there.”

Last season Dunkin recorded 90 tackles and 77 solo, he also came up with two fumble recoveries and five interceptions. Dallas Clarke was also one of the top defensive players for the Sabers in 2019 as he had 46 tackles, five sacks and ten for loss. Clarke also led the team with seven fumble recoveries.
