pleasantville-3

The Pleasantville Trojans traveled to their neighbors in Monroe Friday for a tune up scrimmage to prepare themselves for the 2020 football season.

Both teams split reps on offense and defense, with no special teams being used for safety reasons.

Both the home and road bleachers were full, along with many other spectators standing behind the fence surrounding the PCM Mustangs’ home turf. Fans came with sports drinks in hand to donate at this “Gatorade Game.” The refreshments will be used by both teams to help them stay hydrated during the season.

Both offenses looked sharp with multiple touchdowns being scored and having just one turnover between the two squads.

The Junior Varsity and Ninth Grade squads hit the field first for around 60 minutes, alternating possessions starting at the offensive 30-yard line. The Varsity teams followed suit immediately after using the same format.

Pleasantville kicks off their football season at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont on Friday, August 28th. Hear select football games from the Trojans this fall on the KNIA3 stream at KNIAKRLS.com.
