Despite the fall sports season being postponed to spring, the Simpson College football team will not sit idly by for the lost months. Head coach Matt Jeter tells KNIA Sports they will have a specific mindset going into what would normally be their season.
“It’s almost like a redshirt year. My first year, before I came to Simpson, I redshirted at South Dakota, and I just got bigger, faster, and stronger. I see that as being the same philosophy with these kids now, treat it as a redshirt year, a year we get back, focus on the leadership and focus on learning the offense, defense, and special teams so we can move the needle forward with the program.”
Jeter also said they will focus on the same things they would normally focus on during this time, getting better at football any way they can.
