Melcher-Dallas Volleyball Coach Jesyka Nolte has something this season that she has not had in recent seasons for her team, depth. While the Saints had their first winning season in 2019 since 2013, this is the first season since her return to the program five seasons ago that Nolte has had depth. She tells KNIA Sports all of the girls know they have to work hard to keep their roles on the court.
Nolte:
“This year they know, I’ve been telling them they now we have a few girls that I can throw in there for a few minutes, or just to talk to them. It’s good to have some girls I can use and I’ve not had that in the past.”
The Saints are also blessed with seven seniors who gained valuable time last season in helping Melcher-Dallas to a 15-8 mark, and winning the eastern side of the Bluegrass Conference. Melcher-Dallas is scheduled to open its season at home on Thursday against Orient-Macksburg.
