The Knoxville Volleyball Squad split its triangular matches in Oskaloosa on Monday night. The Panthers lost two sets to none to the host Indians while they took down Carlisle two sets to none. Tara Uitermarkt had 13 total kills for the night, Maggie Wilkins 40 total digs, Marley McKay with 33 total assists, .and Amy Sullivan was perfect in nine serve attempts with two aces. Coach Mollie Keitges tells KRLS Sports Uitermarkt’s improvement the last two seasons has been remarkable with her array of ways she can put the ball away.
Keitges:
“THis year she’s still strong and physically doing a great job, but she also has another year of experience and a great weapon and factor for us. She’s been doing good in creating shots and getting points in other areas.”
Knoxville is 1-1 to start off the season. The Panthers will travel to Newton for four matches tonight against the host Cardinals, PCM, Saydel, and Des Moines Hoover.
