The Melcher-Dallas Volleyball Squad is trying to improve on its hitting. The Saints finished fourth last season with 553 kills as a team and Coach Jesyka Nolte wants her team to be better. She says the girls pass the ball well, and now they need to improve hitting to put points away.

Nolte:
“We do pretty well passing and serving, and now this year we have some height, and they’ve been working hard since they were freshmen on their timing and hitting and their approach is good.”

Height is something that the Saints will have this season as Grace Overgaard, Elizabeth Milburn, and Kinser Reed playing up front, plus a move in Haley Hoch who stands at 5 feet 9 inches. The Saints are scheduled to get underway Thursday at home against Orient-Macksburg.
