The racing season at the Knoxville Raceway has come to an end. Due to a recent COVID-19 outbreak, the Marion County Fair Board in cooperation with the Knoxville Raceway has voted to cancel the remainder of the 2020 season. That includes the scheduled weekly shows this Friday and Saturday, the season-ending sprint car races on September 25th and 26th, and the 17th Annual Lucas Oil Late Model Nationals. Marion County Fair Board President Brian Bailey said in a press release that canceling the rest of the season is in the best interest of the track and the community of Knoxville. Tickets for the Late Model Nationals will be automatically refunded. The Knoxville Raceway next spring is scheduled to open on April 17th, 2021.
