The Melcher-Dallas Volleyball Squad has a goal of defending their Bluegrass Conference Eastern Division title from last fall. The Saints finished conference play last year with a 5-0 record and tied Lamoni for the overall conference title. Coach Jesyka Nolte tells KNIA Sports after beating Moravia for the first time in many seasons last year, she knew the conference title was all their’s.

Nolte:
“Seymour had a good run, and they were like us. They struggled and then they had some good years, so the tide turned for us and them. Moravia is always a decent team and we’ve always struggled with them, and when we beat them last year, we were super pumped about that.”

Nolte says Lamoni and Moravia will once again be a force to deal with. Melcher-Dallas gets its season underway tomorrow night at home against BGC foe Orient-Macksburg.
