The Knoxville Police Department and Marion County Sheriff’s Office received the report of subjects with outstanding warrants at the Knoxville Walmart parking lot at approximately 10:35 Monday evening. As officers approached the subjects, the vehicle fled the scene.
A Marion County Sheriff’s deputy immediately deployed a tire deflation device, which successfully deflated three of the vehicle’s tires. A chase ensued northbound on Highway 14, which reached speeds of 75 miles per hour. The fleeing vehicle drove into oncoming traffic, prompting deputies to execute a boxing in technique to stop the vehicle.
Two of the subjects fled on foot and were apprehended after a short chase. The third subject was apprehended from the vehicle. The three arrested were 24-year-old Aaron Keegel of Bussey, 21-year-old Larissa Golden of Hollister, Mo., and 33-year-old Ronald Kope of Melcher-Dallas.
Keegel is charged with eluding, interference with official acts, driving on a suspended license, and numerous traffic offenses. Golden is charged with outstanding warrant for violation of probation and interference with official acts. Kope is charged with an outstanding warrant for violation of probation.
