Two and a half weeks into the preseason camp, and the Knoxville Football Squad is making gains as the Panthers ready themselves for the season opener at Fairfield on Friday. Coach Eric Kellar tells KRLS Sports they did not scrimmage last week due in part to a few nagging injuries to key players. Kellar adds the guys are ready to go out and hit someone other than themselves.

Kellar:
“We didn’t scrimmage and we had a lot of guys out and didn’t want to risk injuring anyone else. We wanted to have practice to be game-like all week and the scout team has really got after it and giving us good looks. They’re ready and ready to hit someone else and I think they’ll be prepared for it.”

The Panthers and Fairfield will kick off at 7:30pm and can be heard Friday night on 95.3 KNIA with the pregame at 6:30pm.
