The Tulip City cross country season kicks off this weekend at Central College, and Pella and Pella Christian compete in a quad meet with Grinnell and Oskaloosa Saturday.

Pella comes into the meet with the preseason No. 9 team in Class 3A boys and No. 14 team among the 3A girls. Pella Christian Head Coach Mike Buchheit says the Eagles come in with a largely new roster on the girls team, but with several returners on the boys side.

Pella and Pella Christian Cross Country begin in this weekend’s quad meet at 9:30 a.m. at Central College.

The Eagles will kick off their fall volleyball season at the Bondurant Invitational this Saturday, joined by the Lady Dutch and several other central Iowa teams.
