Following an outbreak of COVID-19 within the district, Twin Cedars has been granted a virtual learning waiver from the Iowa Department of Education. The district was closed Monday and Tuesday, and is now undergoing online instruction.
In a statement from the district, multiple staff members have tested positive, but that no junior high or high school students were identified as a close contact to a positive case.
Traditional classes are scheduled to resume on September 8th. The district will not participate in any athletics during virtual learning. The statement from the district is below:
