The Indianola Return to Learn Plan continues to be a fluid document now that school has started and as more information continues to come in about the COVID-19 pandemic. Superintendent Art Sathoff tells KNIA News the framework of the plan will be consistent; it will be the day-to-day things that might change if a need arises.
“It’s more lessons learned as we go along with little things we can tweak, or places we find out we didn’t do as good a job enacting the plan as we go along. We definitely want to learn and get better as we go along, no one has experience in dealing with an environment such as this one and we will make changes as necessary.”
Sathoff also said the difference between a fully virtual learning environment and the case of a quarantined classroom or teachers working and learning from home will be up to the schools and the teachers providing the materials for learning.
