Knoxville Fire & Rescue has announced that its training burn has been postponed. The department cited high COVID-19 rates in Marion County as the primary reason for postponement, and that it would not be a good time to have all the first responders together in one place for training purposes.

The department stated that it apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the rescheduling. The department says that it is looking at potential dates in September.
