With school back in session, the congestion on Highway 92 in front of Indianola High School and Middle School is back during pick-up and drop-off times for parents and students. Indianola Police Captain Brian Sher tells KNIA News when there are that many people trying to get into one area, there will always be delays so be as patient as possible.
“I have a middle school student, and I know that I can be parking pretty close to the highway at times which isn’t ideal, but be patient and pay attention to your surroundings. It goes slow, but there is an orderly fashion about it so be aware of that. Be patient and make sure the area is clear before pulling out of the lot or the street.”
Captain Sher also said drivers should be as mindful as possible about children out in the parking lots and streets around the area.
