The Knoxville Cross Country Squads have had a couple of tune up meets before their first big meet of the season this Saturday at the Central College Invitational. Knoxville will see several state ranked squads from 1A- 4A and the Panthers will use it as a measuring stick to see where they are early in the season. Girls Runner Norah Pearson tells KRLS Sports they can get the pack to run a little more toward the front…she sees them contending for a state meet bid by the end of the season.

Pearson:
“We can definitely get our pack to move forward. We just need to go out and pass one more person. I’m really looking forward to our team, and seeing if we can place higher than last year, and seeing how far we can push ourselves.”

No word on if Pearson will be able to run on Saturday. She has sat out the first two meets of the season with a minor injury, but hopes to be able to compete soon.
