The Pella Community School District has launched a website to track attendance of students and staff as it relates to COVID-19. Superintendent Greg Ebeling says a link on the school’s coronavirus page (https://coronavirus.pellaschools.org/stats/) shows a summary of total student absences due to sickness or confirmed COVID-19 cases, as well as an overall count of kids missing classes for any reason. The district is also showing how many staff members are absent related to the virus.

As of Thursday, 2.3% of students were out of school, or 55 total, and none were for confirmed COVID-19 cases. A total of 1.4% of school district staff members were missing work related to the virus, including 5.2% at Pella Middle School, 1.5% at Jefferson Intermediate, and .9% at Madison Elementary.
