Marion County Public Health reported an additional 15 cases of COVID-19 heading into the Labor Day weekend. There are 114 active, with 414 recoveries since the outbreak for a total of 528 positive tests confirmed. Two individuals died from the virus this past week, both over 80 years old with a preexisting health condition. The COVID-19 test positivity rate in the county is at 15.8% averaged over the past two weeks. There are eight Marion County residents hospitalized with the virus.
