Knoxville Hospital and Clinics has a new doctor on staff. Dylan Lowe is a native of Tama, and is working in the Emergency Medicine department. He says that personal connections from his education in Des Moines are a big reason he came to Knoxville.

“Dr. Laughlin and Dr. Law both went to the same residency as I went to at Broadlawns. When I was a fourth-year medical student, I did an audition rotation at Broadlawns, and I spent two weeks with Dr. Law and two weeks with Dr. Laughlin one-on-one working 70-hour weeks. And both of them were headed down here. I didn’t know anything about the hospital system or anything like that. But, between having my son here in Knoxville and knowing two of the doctors that were already here, I had a pretty strong confidence that I would end up in the area. And after interviewing here, I just felt like it was a really good fit as well.”

Lowe’s first day working at Knoxville Hospital and Clinics was Tuesday.
