Tomorrow is Labor Day. It’s a federal holiday celebrated on the first Monday of September to honor the history and recognize the accomplishments of the American workforce. Labor Day became a federal holiday in 1894, and marks the unofficial end of summer.
As a federal holiday, all government offices will be closed, including departments in courthouses and city halls. Most financial institutions and many retailers also close to recognize the holiday. Anyone needing to do business at these locations should plan to do so on Tuesday.
