The first annual Marion County Suicide Prevention Fun Show was held over the weekend in Knoxville. Horse enthusiasts from around the area brought their horses to the Marion County Fairgrounds to show for a charitable cause. It was organized by Marley Larson and her family, whose brother committed suicide two years ago. Larson says that all the funds will be donated to suicide prevention causes.

“All the funds are going toward suicide prevention. I’m not pocketing any of this money, it’s all for suicide prevention, and for fun.”

The entry fee was just seven dollars per horse, with all the proceeds being donated to Your Life Matters of Marion County. The event coincided with September being National Suicide Prevention Month.
