Students in grades 3rd through 6th are invited to join the Virtual Pella Children’s Choir this fall. Due to health concerns regarding COVID-19, the group has decided as an organization to have the Fall semester be a virtual experience to guarantee the safety of everyone involved. Choristers will have a 30 minute “virtual-live” rehearsal each week on Monday nights. In addition to the live rehearsal, students will also have a recorded lesson that they will be able to view anytime during the week as well. Choristers will work on singing with proper technique, reading music, and working as an individual singer to prepare for group singing in the future.

Toward the end of the semester they will be taking recordings of the children to create a group-virtual concert with all of their voices combined to be shared with everyone. This virtual compilation will include all singers from all the Iowa Youth Chorus Choirs.

Registration fee is $40 per semester. Financial assistance is available to those in need, and no child will be denied the experience due to need. This opportunity is made possible by Iowa Youth Chorus.
