Labor day is in the books, and the Trojans are back in school today, with the evening capped off by a cross country meet tonight at Central Decatur.
Pleasantville’s teams are coming off a short rest from their last meet, which was Thursday at Wayne. That’s only 5 days rest compared to the 10 days they had between their first two contests in 2020.
Hoping to have another solid performance are Hailee McCormick for they girls and Devon Luing and Jenkin Fulmer for the boys. Last week, they finished 17th, fifth, and 12th respectively. Luing is going for his third top five finish of the season, while Fulmer is trying to get back into the top ten. Very possible given that tonight’s outing only has ten teams instead of 15 like last week.
Head coach Aaron Fichter’s squads hope their stamina is replenished after a Labor Day with no school as they start tonight in Leon at 4:30.
