The Knoxville Volleyball Squad will go two weeks between matches the next time the Panthers get back to action on Tuesday. The quirk in the schedule is allowing the girls this week to have a little fun with theme days. Tuesday all of the players wore purple in practice for a very good reason, to honor a teammate. Senior setter Marley McKay tells KRLS Sports freshman Lexi Coon got some very good news this week.
McKay:
“We have a freshman on our team and she ended up beating Cancer as of early last week. Her name is Lexi Coons, and I believe it was Lymphoma and she just got that news and we’re all wearing purple and wrist bands with Lexi’s Warriors.”
McKay adds another theme this week was to practice in pajamas, and other fun things to keep practice interesting. The Panthers get back to playing on Tuesday at Davis County.
