The Norwalk football team will be in the hunt for its first win of 2020 with a Week 3 road trip to Adel tonight to take on ADM. The Warriors are coming off a thrilling defeat to Indianola last week in which the offense put up big numbers. ADM is 0-2 and is also coming off a close loss, a 34-33 overtime thriller against Gilbert, in which ADM came back from down 21 points in the first quarter. Norwalk head coach Paul Patterson says his team needs to improve all three phases of the game in order to pull off the win.

“I think the very first thing we have to do is limit big plays. That’s something that we struggled with on Friday night. We’d go up, Indianola comes right back and scores. So we’ve got to work on that and get off the field on third down. Special teams has to be a factor on the positive side. We had a missed extra point, muffed punt and fake punt that got stuffed. Two of those gave them great field position which led to points for them. Offensively, we’ve got to continue to get the ball to our playmakers, and we’ve got to make sure we put together long, sustained drives that eat clock and give our defense a break.”

Tonight’s game will air on the KNIA3 stream at KNIAKRLS.com with Jon Mohwinkle and Chris Larson calling the action from Adel. Pregame coverage begins at 6:30, with the opening kickoff at 7:00.
