After receiving several questions about absentee ballots, the Marion County Auditor’s Office has released answers to frequently asked questions. Auditor Jake Grandia says that most importantly, only one absentee ballot request form needs to be completed and submitted.

“We realize that people are receiving multiple requests from different groups at home, which is more than fine. But they only need to return one of the signed requests for the absentee ballot to our office. And then we will keep that on file until ballots start going out after October 5th. We want to encourage people if they want to vote absentee, to do so, but they only need to turn in one request.”

Ballots will be mailed out beginning October 5th. The deadline to submit an absentee ballot request form is 5:00 p.m. on October 24th.
