As the 2020 Census winds down, all residents are reminded to participate in the survey aiming to fully count the population of the United States.

Pella Area Community and Economic Alliance Executive Director Karen Eischen says when it comes to attracting businesses and formulating development plans, having accurate population numbers assists in bringing needed services to a community. Additionally, federal funding is often tied to the number of people in a community, county, or region — which can assist with public projects that support infrastructure to continue economic and population growth.
